TikTok gift game: how do gifts affect the game?

A TikTok gift game is a game in which a gift sent by a viewer gets an immediate response on screen. This article explains how gifts are tiered by coin value, the role of likes and follows, and the “one character per viewer” model of MERRY games.

How does a gift enter the game?

On TikTok every gift has a coin value; small gifts like the Rose are worth 1 coin, big gifts thousands of coins. The game reads the value of the gift sent and turns it into a game effect. It is the value that matters, not the gift’s name: two different gifts of the same value have the same effect in the game. That is why the game does not need to wait for an update when TikTok releases a new gift.

Who sent what is shown on screen. Jokey Kupası (Jockey Cup), a horse carrying the sender’s name enters the track, Karpuz Patlatma (Watermelon Burst), the character stretches each band over the watermelon in the sender’s name. For the viewer, this answers “my gift went through, what happened?” instantly.

What do small, medium and large gifts do?

MERRY games handle gifts in three tiers:

  • Small gifts gives your own character a small boost: a carrot and a lucky horseshoe in Jokey Kupası, Son Sığınak (Last Shelter), an ammo box and barricade repairs, Balıkçı Koyu (Fishing Bay), golden bait.
  • Medium gifts visibly affects the round: an energy potion and a sprint, a new turret, a shield or Lav Kulesi, a rope and a double jump.
  • Big gifts bütün turu değiştirir: şampiyon koşusu, hava saldırısı, ’nde dev balina ya da fırtına, Altın Avcıları (Gold Hunters), a gold shower that helps the whole team.

The strength of the effect grows with the size of the gift, but the design rule never changes: no gift harms another viewer’s character. Even in team games like Köy Seferi , where you send bandits after the rival village’s caravan, the effect targets the team, not a person.

Do likes and follows count as gifts?

Viewers who spend no coins join the game too. Follow puts a character carrying that viewer’s name on the scene; the streamer can turn this off in the panel. Like grant entry once they reach the threshold the streamer has set; likes sent during a round speed up your own character or cheer it on. You set this threshold in the panel: raising it on busy streams keeps the screen balanced, while a low threshold on small streams makes room for everyone.

Thanks to this three-way structure, the stream never feels like “no gift, no watching”. Viewers enter with a like, stay with a follow, and see their character grow stronger when they send their first gift.

One character per viewer

The most common complaint about gift games is that the top gifter takes over the whole screen. That is why most MERRY games follow the one character per viewer rule: no matter how many gifts a viewer sends, they get one horse, one runner, one boat. Further gifts power up that character; they do not spawn a new one. So in a stream of ten people, ten names appear on screen and nobody gets pushed out.

Sancak Savaşı (Banner War), the gifts are fixed: Rose brings infantry, Perfume brings archers, Donut brings cavalry, and every unit carries the sender’s name.

Can the streamer change the gift effects?

In self-running games the tiers are fixed; the streamer changes settings like the like threshold, follow entry, round length and difficulty. KAOS ROTASI is different: you decide what each gift does (push forward, pull back, armour, spinning blade, turbo, wolf or stone guardian). That way the same game is a cooperative game in one stream and a chaos game in another.

Fair gift play that follows the rules

A gift game is not a structure that forces viewers to send gifts, and it should not be presented as one. Instead of pressure like “send a gift or I’ll kick you out”, show the game itself: let the horse enter the track, let the watermelon crack, let viewers see what happens. Verify TikTok’s gift and community rules on your account; MERRY games cannot check age or account conditions for you. For a pre-stream checklist, see the streaming guidetake a look.

FAQ

Do gifts show up in the game with a delay?

TikTok delivers the gift event within a few seconds, and the game processes it the moment it arrives. A delay of a few seconds is normal; a delay of minutes is a connection problem: press Connect again in the game.

What happens if the same viewer sends gifts back to back?

Their character gets stronger; no new character is created. In Jokey Kupası the horse speeds up, in Karpuz Patlatma the number of bands grows. The viewer who makes the final effect gets a special mention on screen.

Can viewers who do not send gifts still join the game?

Yes, they can. Following, or sending the number of likes the streamer has set, also earns a character. The streamer turns these options on and off in the panel.

Does the game show the TL value of gifts?

No. The game reads the coin value of a gift and turns it into an effect; it does not show money amounts. Gift income reaches your TikTok account under TikTok’s own rules.
